The “Thaipoosam” festival at Palani Dhandayuthapani temple would commence on January 25 with flag hoisting.

The car festival which is the high light would be celebrated on January 31.

Thai Poosam festival at Palani attracts thousands of devotees from India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Srilanka. The Muruga devotes would throng the temple on all the days of the festival.

The car festival which commences on 10 a.m. on January 31, is the first of its kind of after a long period of 60 years, due to lunar eclipse occurring on the day.
